About Mantu
Mantu are Naan Kabob's steamed Afghan dumplings - each one filled with seasoned ground beef and onion, and served two ways: split pea sauce (dal) spooned over the top, cool garlic yogurt on the side. The wrapper is soft and light, not doughy; the filling is well-spiced without being heavy. Available in small and large portions. Order small as a starter to share; go large if you want mantu as your main. The spice profile and sauce combination are Central Asian - different from Chinese dumplings or Italian ravioli in every way that counts. One of the best things on the menu in Toronto.
